Open Arms Living

Ms. G Thompson started Open Arms Temporary Living in 2015 in the “much needed” area of South Central, Los Angeles.  As a teen Ms. Thompson found herself homeless living from place to place until she found Mary Watson who owned a transitional home and allowed Ms. Thompson to live there for 5 years. The Pillow and Blanket provided for  Ms. Thompson was the key component in finding stability which ultimately was the stepping stone to her success.  Ms. Thompson went on to graduate from high school and attended  Santa Monica College. As a college graduate Ms. Thompson  relocated to Arlington Tx in 1996 to pursue her career in finance. Not feeling fulfilled Ms. Thompson decided to giving back to the community was her true purpose in life.  Ms. Thompson started giving back by starting a group home for foster children by the name of ” A Friend of His” in Arlington, TX for several years. After 14yrs  Ms. Thompson returned home to Los Angeles, CA and was overwhelmed by the homeless crisis in South Central LA. Therefore Ms. Thompson has vowed and has  dedicated herself  in make a difference by giving back to a community in need. She is proudly committed to “Open Arms Temporary Living”. She is dedicated to providing  safe and  alternative living  accommodations for those that are transitioning to a better life!
